Learning Forward’s 2020 Virtual Learning Event
Implementing the Feedback Process as Professional Learning, Virtually and In-Person
Are your teachers, school administrators and academic coaches stressed out over all the changes they are facing this year? Will they have to adapt to many changes? Will they have new learning needs? If yes, here is something to help you.
Learning Forward Mississippi is launching a new Virtual Learning Event for the fall. In this era of massive change, it is imperative that frequent, specific feedback on implementation of new technology and lesson design is available to all teaching personnel. Additionally, it is important that administrators have the same type of feedback as they design and implement new health safety measures, class schedules, busing patterns, processes of parent and community contacts, etc. This virtual learning event will examine providing feedback that focuses on educator learning and growth where the learners are constructing new and better understandings of how and what they do to implement the many different things that are new this year.
The event will consist of four 95-minute webinars, September through November. The webinars will be facilitated by Joellen Killion, an internationally recognized consultant, prolific researcher and writer, and a skilled facilitator. As a Learning Forward senior advisor, she leads initiatives related to the link between professional learning and student learning. A copy of Killion’s book The Feedback Process – Transforming Feedback for Professional Learning will be shipped from the Learning Forward warehouse to the participant’s street address.
